We're pleased to say we've secured funding from Richmondshire District Counsil Small Business Grant. The money will go towards much needed resources and a brand new ballet barre.
From the Dalington & Stockton Times:
A young dancer from Swaldale who gained her qualifications at Preston Dance College, is the recipient of a recent grant from Richmondshire District Council.
Returning to North Yorkshire last year, Charlotte set up her own school, the Charlotte Jacqueline School of Dance in Richmond offering ballet, tap, modern theatre and jazz dance to all ages from three to adults based mainly in Richmond's Quaker Lane, Scout Hut.
The dance school has now received a welcome boost with the award of a small business grant from Richmondshire District Council which has enabled Charlotte to purchase not only the syllabus and music scores necessary for examination work but a crucial piece of equipment in the form of a portable ballet barre which can be easily packed away and moved between venues. Coun Stuart Parsons and Coun Linda Curran were delighted to go to a recent class and see the new equipment in action.
